- FIXES "JAMMED" ROOF HATCHES: Direct replacement for the white Release Handle on Transpec "Standard Safety Vents" (High Profile). This is the common "Push-to-Open" handle found on Thomas, IC and other school buses.
- RELEASE SIDE ONLY: This kit fits the front "Release" side of the hatch. It does NOT fit the rear "Hinge" side. (Note: The hinge side mechanisms are permanently riveted; if those break, you must replace the entire roof hatch lid).
- DOES NOT FIT "PROLO": Designed exclusively for the "Standard" (Tall) Safety Vent. This handle is NOT compatible with Transpec "Prolo" (Low Profile) hatches. Please check your hatch profile before ordering to ensure correct fitment.
- COMPLETE REPAIR KIT: Includes everything needed to rebuild the release mechanism: (1) White Handle [2070], (1) Hinge Bracket [2060], and (1) Linkage Plunger [1000-003]. Replaces bus body part numbers 56001243 and 56001249.
